WOODWORK
There is a lot
of solid wood in this old house, including floors, walls and even
ceilings. All of the second floor woodwork and doors are butternut.
The first floor woodwork matches and is believed to be chestnut.
The woodwork is unpainted except for the two kitchens and the whole
back room. Some of the solid wide tongue and groove floors have
been painted. The wood that divides the back stairs is Cyprus tongue
and groove with its original finish. The laundry room wainscoting
may also be Cyprus as it seems to match the back stairs.
